What is ʻĀina Provide?

 ʻĀina, or that which feeds us, is a dynamic and complex arrangement of processes and elements that enable us to survive.  ʻĀina Provide understands the similarities among these dynamic complexities, and us as a component of them. Humanities collective connection and relationship to ʻāina largely surpasses what we understand with the limited consciousness of the human mind, however, preserved indigenous knowledge from undervalued native communities hold many of the keys that humanity needs to restore this intrinsic relationship between ʻāina and kānaka (humans). Our primary goal is to identify and enhance those connections within every aspect of our collective, and individual, lives.

ʻĀina Provide is a principle of alignment with the natural cycles of ʻĀina. It is a means to embody the human-self as an element of nature; through which one can naturally provide for, and be provided for, by ʻĀina.

This harmonious reciprocation understands that human beings are not superior to other beings; and like other beings have a function and role. ʻĀina is our most fragile repository of information, and the perpetuation of this knowledge is inherently dependent on robust relationships with that which feeds us.

A paradigm shift of consciousness

ʻĀina Provide is more than just a phrase, or even “lifestyle”. It is a conscious way of fundamentally perceiving the way we (humans) are interconnected with our natural environment. ʻĀina Provide resembles harmony with nature on the space-time continuum and can dramatically reform the way students learn.

A “learning ecosystem” framework

We believe that each student’s journey is unique and just like nature, ebbs and flows. Our ‘Learning Ecosystem’ framework aims to provide students the skills, knowledge, and resources that young minds need to fulfill their own unique path- that is, to carry out their unique role and function within the community. This framework is adaptable to all age levels and can be customized to offer a variety of interdisciplinary focuses. Our goal is to empower the next generation to make their visions a reality.

We envision robust ecosystems where each individual functions as an element of the Collective Creative Genius, which embraces each unique, dynamic, and complex component of community function and productivity.

Our goal is to foster learning journeys that supports creative potential. Conventional pedagogy is typically (amongst other attributes) overly structured, linear, and tedious. Our courses and programs are designed to be flexible and place-based to help each student reach their maximum potential creativity and foster connections between each unique creation.
