Learning Ecosystem Framework

Ecosystem: a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment

Our learning ecosystem framework understands ʻāina-centric & community based education as its core value and a shared community vision. The framework we propose is continuous, meaning there is no linear nature to how each component works with one another. Local community-based organizations and existing PK-12 systems serve as the foundation of our vision and mission, investors, sponsors, donors and businesses, corporations and foundations are pillars to operating independently, and policy and advocacy organizations and technical assistance providers are monumental in influencing procedures and operations.

Local Organizations

Developing meaningful relationships with local organizations, including community-based non-profit and non-government organizations and small local businesses that are aligned with community values, allows us to foster a robust network of opportunities for the community, primarily the youth.

PK-12 Systems

Working with, rather than within or without, existing systems promotes continuity (opposed to duality) and therefore enhances the opportunity for the community to engage in meaningful ways and provide opportunities to support the youth and the collective vision for ‘Aina-centric and community based economic systems.

Investors, Sponsors & Donors

Investors, sponsors and donors are essential to operating independtly outside of the existing system frameworks, and are key contributors to the community-based education vision.

Businesses, Corporations& Foundations

Partnering with local businesses and corporations to expand networks and community development opportunities.

Policy & Advocacy Organizations

Empowering and partnering with non-profit and non-government organizations that are aligned with our communities vision and values.

Technical Assistance Provider Organizations

Community leaders, organizations and businesses that inform and provide direct and indirect service to the organizations operations and development.
